Department Overview

The Partnership Program Executive is responsible for a single large strategic partnership program or potentially multiple small programs. The role has responsibility for the strategy, financial and operational performance of their individual program, as well as managing the overall relationship with the partner organization.

Job Description

Provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
Works with the Head of Partnership Programs to the partnership program's strategic plans, including product, marketing and operational strategies.
Promotes a healthy and profitable relationship with partner organization.
Leads cross-functional teams responsible for the partnership business.
Responsible for contractual aspects of the partnership agreement including adherence to current agreement and negotiating modifications and/or extensions.
Manage partnership revenue and expense to plan.
Oversee and lead the execution of product management and marketing strategies
Ensures operating capabilities and execution achieves group and/or partnership program goals Identify and drives process improvements to improve overall quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
Lead adoption of corporate vendor management policies in the partnership program and where appropriate, manages the development and/or execution of a Vendor Management Program for the partnership business; including governance, standards, measurement and analysis for key, high profile vendor relationships.

Requirements

Drive implementation and monitoring of controls in alignment with TD Risk Appetite Statement.
Define, monitor and manage Operational Risk as a first line of defense.
Partner with TD functions and the strategic partner to manage issues, obtaining a win/win resolution where possible while protecting the Bank.
Oversee development and deployment of technology implementations and performance.
Leverage a deep subject matter expertise and keep abreast of emerging issues and trends and assess impact to the business portfolio.

Qualifications

4 Year degree or equivalent experience required
10+ Years related experience required
Ability to think strategically and perform tactically
Must be able to form strong working relationships that rely primarily on influence and trust
Deep experience in cobrand credit card market and in credit card product management
Committed to being a team player, work well with others
Demonstrated ability recruit, retain develop a strong team
Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, multi-national environment
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes creatively with a wide variety of customers in order to obtain maximize mutual benefit
Demonstrated excellent management, organizational and leadership skills required with ability to train and motivate team effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
