Department Overview

The Head of Strategy, Data & Analytics, and Research for Credit Cards & Unsecured Lending provides leadership for Business Strategy Development, Data Reporting & Analytics and Customer and Competitive Research. Develops vision and strategic roadmap for the U.S. Credit Card and Unsecured business in conjunction with the Leadership Team, and supports implementation and monitoring of business strategies, consistent with TD's Risk Appetite.

Job Description

Provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required

Requirements

Develops vision and strategic roadmap for the U.S. Credit Cards & Unsecured Lending (USCCUL) business in conjunction with the Leadership Team, and supports implementation and monitoring of business strategies, consistent with TD's Risk Appetite
Oversees preparation of strategic plans, business plans, and other critical analyses & presentations for USCCUL Senior Leadership and various senior leaders throughout the Bank
Develops and maintains USCCUL performance metrics reporting and competitive analytics, providing data to management to drive strategic initiatives, and assists with execution of such strategic initiatives
Responsible for Board meetings materials and preparation
Work with USCCUL team and enterprise to develop future roadmap for data and analytics capabilities
Develops holistic customer view and understanding to deliver / execute on full capabilities of TD
Recruit and grow talent to execute on data and analytics roadmap
Oversee competitive intelligence and customer research (partnering with marketing)
Develops and leverages broad network throughout TDBG to execute on business objectives and strategies
Oversees development and refinement of tools for tracking cross-sell, product penetration, and share of wallet as it relates to the business
Oversees business communications platforms including intranet site, Connections pages, conferences, and client events
Liaises with TD HR Business Partner and Learning and Development teams to develop and execute ongoing development programs for employees

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree, Master's degree preferred or progressive work experience in addition to experience below.
10+ years related experience in credit card/unsecured lending
Demonstrated experience in providing financial and strategic advice to senior leaders in a financial institution
5+ years management experience required.
Executive presence, intellect, energy and drive to succeed in a high performance environment
Strong analytic skills, including statistical and segmentation analysis; data analysis and insight development, financial statement and competitive analysis.
Strong business and financial acumen
Organizationally astute, with superior influencing, collaboration and communication skills
Strong leadership and people management skills with demonstrated experience in leading and developing high performing teams
Expertise in working effectively in teams - requires a track record of working across the organization and with multiple stakeholders at varying levels
Excellent organizational skills and ability to get things done and make an impact
