Job Description
Manage and lead a diverse team to ensure all Acquisitions operations processes are executed flawlessly and in-line with cross-functional objectives. This includes new account forecasting, marketing investment management, and bonus offer contra revenue forecasting. In addition, lead competitive intelligence team that works with internal and external partners to provide key analysis to drive awareness and change within Cards.
The Head of US Cards Acquisition Strategy Planning PMO is responsible for the following:
  • All planning and forecasting processes for Acquisitions, including driving short term and long term profitability initiatives
  • Optimize marketing budget to hit new account goals, marketing channel mix, and profitability objectives
  • Assess customer sentiment, market trends, economic and risk trends, and competitive landscape to develop and deliver an optimal business strategy that meets financial targets while improving customer experience as measured by NPS
  • Serve as key lead for cross-channel support for Acquisitions. Seamlessly interact with all levels of management
  • Interface with Finance, Product owners, Decision Management, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Business Practices, and control organizations to ensure all objectives are met, with a view towards "Digital First"
  • Manage multiple teams across multiple disciplines to deliver business results with flawless execution, ensuring effective process controls are in in place and administered
  • Responsible for attracting talent, coaching, developing and retaining a high-performance team

Business and Technical Requirements
  • Candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience working in financial services or a comparable industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Marketing Management
  • Deep understanding of the consumer cards business and financial services
  • Broad knowledge of decision management, marketing, risk, and operations
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory environment in this industry
  • Needs to fully understand risks associated with recent consumer protection laws and ongoing changes in industry that carry large visibility to the company
  • Requires deep understanding of the business and how best to optimize the use of internal and external resources as well as cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in devising multiple financial solutions that solve for multi-faceted business problem (accounts, activation, risk performance, ANR, CPA, ROTA)
  • Strong customer focus and past achievement in applying a customer mindset to shape solutions and approach to realize marketplace potential and meet financial goals
