About The Team

The Global Trading Strategies team is responsible for efficient trade execution of AQR's investment strategies. The team is comprised of traders, trading assistants, trading infrastructure and trading algorithm developers as well as market microstructure and short-term signal researchers. The Role

AQR is looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join our trading production team as an Execution Trading Support Analyst. The role involves understanding trading onboarding process and maintenance for client, product and dealer database set-ups. The individual will work with stakeholders across the organization.

• Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Software Engineers, Legal and Operations to support and maintain the trading's client, product, and dealer onboarding process
• Integrate and certify new clearing/custodian connectivity
• Well-organized, detail oriented and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Develop tools to improve automated functionality or monitoring
• Create a process and procedures to ensure a consistently deliverable product
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

The ideal candidate will be able to take on multiple responsibilities, such as trade booking and reconciliation, addressing and investigating breaks, overseeing our end of day process, onboarding new funds and counterparties, and ad-hoc projects. In addition to daily support, the candidate will work on enhancing processes or implementing new ones to streamline and reduce support work around trades over time.

What You'll Bring

• An undergraduate degree required in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field
• 1-4 years experience in the financial industry
• Experience in a trading floor environment, with knowledge of multiple asset classes
• Technical experience required including but not limited to database structures and programming experience, including proficient SQL and/or Python skills
• Well-organized, detail oriented and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Hard-working and eager to learn in a highly intellectual, collaborative environment
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
