Director, Infrastructure Engineering Solutions Delivery

JobDescription :
S&P Global is recruiting a Director of the Infrastructure Engineering Office to report to the Global Head of Infrastructure Engineering. This is a key and visible leadership role in the organization and is responsible for Infrastructure Engineering program and solutions management. Success for this role is defined as managing the delivery of key strategic initiatives and ensuring they meet stated improvement goals, timelines, financial commitments, and operational excellence criteria. This role has significant impact and visibility to senior technology management and will support critical strategic and operational decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Infrastructure Engineering project and solutions organization and pipeline
  • Interface with technology operations, technology business management, information security, and architecture to ensure solutions are prioritized and structured to meet design and operational objectives
  • Manage project staff and budgets
  • Dynamically report and scorecard on progress
  • Ensure solutions ultimately are having a positive impact on customers via clear metrics and scorecards
  • Participate in divisional strategy, vision, and implementation planning sessions
  • Serve as thought leader in Infrastructure Engineering division
  • Ensure projects are successful and exceed requirements
  • Facilitate issue resolution for Infrastructure Engineering projects

Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant degree and 8 years of industry experience
  • Deep understanding of technology finance
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Project management certification preferred
  • Must be familiar with infrastructure technologies such as network, compute, storage, layered tools, and also familiar with technology operations
  • Prior experience working in operations and/or engineering at a major financial institution
  • Proven experience in operational excellence and driving quantifiable business benefits through successful technology project execution
  • A continuous learning mind set is crucial
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders on complex technology issues and project initiatives
