Responsibilities: Build, maintain, tune and monitor Microsoft SQL Server and Service(s) underlying internal as well as customer-facing solutions. The individual will contribute as part of the Information Services team and work closely with IT architects, tech leads, application developers, business analysts and quality assurance specialists. We're looking for a database administrator that works hard and smart, is driven to deliver on commitments & contributes effectively in collaborative endeavors.

What We're Looking For:
8+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • Manage, installation and configuration of MS SQL Server [v2008 - v2017]
  • Query, database and system tuning for performance
  • RunOps 24x7 on-call support
Deep understanding of MS SQL Server internals and features [Microsoft Certification a plus]
  • Backup/Restore methods, Replication, XML and Full-Text Search
4+ years of development or support experience with following services:
  • SSAS, SSRS, SSIS or Master Data Services [MDS]
Experience with on-prem and cloud system patterns, migrations and virtualization
Experience with reverse-engineering and relational modeling [normalization / de-normalization]
Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tool
Excellent verbal and written communication skills [English]
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Experience with source code management practices and systems
Experience with Agile as well as Waterfall development methodologies
Experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering [WSFC] a plus
