We will be looking to you to provide legal support to the Global Privacy Team advising on privacy and data governance requirements related to money transfer, payments, and business solutions. You will contribute to the global privacy program and report to the regional privacy counsel.
As Assistant Privacy Counsel for Western Union, you will support in developing privacy and data protection policies, processes, and assessments as well as monitoring and tracking changes in law and customer expectations. You will closely support Global Privacy Team colleagues to ensure enterprise-wide awareness and incorporation of sound privacy-by-design principles.
For such a detail-driven role, you must have legal experience from a law firm or corporate legal department. You will be admitted to practice law in the United States and must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school. You will have experience providing legal advice regarding security requirements as well as data breach analyses and notifications. A technical aptitude or familiarity with IT systems related to the privacy field is preferred. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to the audience.
