Assistant Director, Principal Software Engineer

Location: South San Francisco, CA, USA

Duties: Support software development activities by collaborating with Business Analysts to interpret client requirements for software projects. Provide feedback on projects requirements from a technical perspective, implementing and testing features based on requirements. Define and maintain coding standards, guiding junior team members to comply with these standards. Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to fix software defects. Investigate and resolve software issues and bugs reported by clients. Maintain technical documents. Review code, lead refactoring activities and provide guidance for software engineer team members to prepare software packages. Work closely with senior team members to continuously improve engineering practices. Conduct software training sessions to share knowledge within and across teams.

Qualifications
Required Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or related. Must have at least 1 year of experience with the following: designing and developing, maintaining and implementing applications using MS development stack: Visual Studio IDE, .NET Framework, MVC, JQuery, SQL Server, IIS, ASP .NET, web services, WCF, HTML, CSS, Javascript, ADO.net, T-SQL, LINQ; and refactoring and rewriting legacy applications using .NET framework, system development life cycle, object oriented programming concepts, design patterns and SOLID principles.
