Retirement Plan Consultant Retirement Plan Consultant What we need: Cetera Financial Group is currently seeking a Retirement Plan Consultant for our office in Walnut Creek, CA.  This is a unique opportunity to build relationships with clients and use your understanding of them to contribute to the next client innovation. What you will do:

• Provide consulting to CPAs, advisors and clients on a variety of pension related topics
• Manage case load independently, meeting all deadlines for assigned cases
• Return phone calls and emails on a timely basis, complying with our 4/24 policy 
• Review annual client data, including census
• Prepare contribution computations 
• Perform compliance testing 
• Prepare annual reports using ASC pension software
• Prepare Form 5500 and all applicable schedules
• Comply with our CRM program Pension Pro/Workflow to ensure accurate and timely project flow

What you need to have:

• 5+ years of third party administration experience
• 5+ years of defined contribution plan administration including all facets of compliance testing, contribution computation, IRS Form 5500 preparation and all related schedules
• 5+ years of managing case load from beginning to end
• Demonstrated ability to interpret plan documents and amendments

Really catch our eyewith:

• 1+ year of experience with ASC Val and/or ASC 5500
• 1+ year of defined benefit plan experience
• NIPA or ASPPA pension designation
