As a UX Designer, work on multidisciplinary teams and influence user experience through problem solving and end-to-end propositions.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Deep passion for design, product, and the customer experience
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX lifecycle in order to define user experiences, visual and interaction design
  • Solid knowledge of design, repository, story and backlog management tools and resources
  • General awareness of technology high framework (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap 4, etc.)
  • Possess a strong eye for intuitive and disruptive digital experiences in the banking space


Skills

  • Create high quality UI deliverables based on UX goals and priorities, including annotated wireframes (low fidelity to high fidelity and everything in between) followed by production ready final assets
  • Support core brand look and feel within assets, UI designs and patterns
  • Ability to use prototyping tools such as InVision, Sketch, Visio, etc.
  • Ability to provide design direction on multiple projects in various stages of the product lifecycle
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and collaboration tools such as WebEx to present designs to product personnel and key stakeholders
  • Good time-management and follow up skills


Competencies

  • Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user-centered design process
  • Provide input to UI/UX style guides and help ensure designs stay on-brand and on-trend
  • Ability to implement constructive feedback and expand design skills
  • Extreme attention to detail, willingness to do "detective work" as needed
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast- paced fluid environment
  • Able to collaborate with teams to understand business objectives, needs, and constraints and create designs that deliver disruptive user experiences that minimize friction
  • Possession of good communication skills and strong people skills to execute duties with minimal conflict and complications between collaborative and cross-functional personnel


Required Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience with a strong background in the financial services industry
  • A portfolio that includes examples of leading interaction and visual designs with significant business outcomes
  • Experience with both consumer and business facing financial applications
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in the study of design including one of the following: Design, Information Architecture, HCI or equivalent project/portfolio experience


Preferred Education and Experience

  • 1 to 2 end to end product delivery and UI/UX designed experiences.
  • Experience providing oversight of a large product, program, or simultaneously coordinating multiple smaller initiatives and teams.
  • Background in banking services supporting the innovation economy a plus
