Organization Design Manager
The Products Division is implementing transformative organizational change efforts over the next few years and will bring on a full-time resource to support the organization development activities.

As an Organization Development Manager on the Change Management Center of Excellence Team, you are passionate about designing and developing world class organizations that enable the enterprise to achieve greater performance. You have a demonstrated track record of leading organizations through design of new structures, operating models, and talent architectures that drive organizational effectiveness, enable and engage employees, and support the business strategy. You are an organization development professional who can plan and lead complex transformation programs, design and execute appropriate organization development interventions, and operate as part of an engaged team.

This person will lead and manage organization design and development workstreams focused in the Products Division. They will apply their experience and knowledge to coach business leaders through changes to organizational structures, operating models, job design, talent, and culture using SVB's talent and organization development methodologies. We are seeking someone who has the ability to bring their consultative skills to implement organization transformation initiatives. The position works with stakeholders globally.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Organizational Development (OD) processes, issues and considerations; ability to advise managers and implement programs in all areas of organizational effectiveness.

  • Familiarity with organizational change management frameworks

  • Knowledge of how people experience, respond, and progress through change

  • Knowledge and familiarity with project management strategies, tactics, tools, and methods

Skills

  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations and create structure to drive results.

  • Enable people to drive the organization to achieve greater flexibility and attain competitive advantages.

  • Demonstrated experience managing large change projects and change methodologies.

  • Ability to develop practices that maximize learning and development and improve team members' focus on performance objectives.

  • Knowledge of tools, techniques and methods of training needs analyses; ability to identify what people need to learn for successful individual and organizational performance.

  • Ability to align the organization's people and culture with changes in business strategy, organizational structure, technology and business processes.

  • Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Knowledge of strategies, technologies and practices of digital transformation; ability to manage the challenges brought by digital era successfully to achieve business goals.

  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers

  • Ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality

  • Ability to utilize various methods and techniques to frame problems and situations from the perspective of their impact on the entire system; to make appropriate action plans and take the right risks

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/HR Management, Organizational Psychology or other related fields.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience at a Big 5 Management Consulting Organization

  • Or Internal organization design experience
