ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for sourcing high-quality talent, managing the candidate experience and successfully placing and on-boarding new talent. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with Head of HR and hiring managers to develop an effective strategy to source the highest qualified talent.
  • Management of the recruiting process from sourcing, screening, feedback gathering, reference checks and negotiation of offers
  • Establish relationships with hiring managers to get a full understanding of their business objectives, challenges, and skill-set requirements
  • Provide consultative expertise to hiring managers as it pertains to recruitment processes, including partnering with managers to write job descriptions, set recruiting strategies and include assessing internal and external talent and sourcing passive and diverse candidates
  • Experience attracting, sourcing and screen candidates using a variety of innovative techniques including social networking and direct sourcing
  • Prepare and analyze recruitment reports and sourcing strategy when appropriate
  • Stay abreast of recruiting developments, market conditions and trends
  • Ensure full compliance with Matthews policies, practices, guidelines and procedures as well as Federal and State laws

Qualifications required for this position are as follows:

  • Must have 7+ year of direct recruiting experience in the Financial Services industry – strong preference for asset management experience and/or experience with an executive search firm working on asset management searches
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Prior experience in establishing and managing outside recruiting agency relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to drive healthy discussion around complex recruiting issues, persuade others to move in a desired direction and strong active listening skills
  • Demonstrated  consulting and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport, build strong relationships and work in a team environment
  • Successfully demonstrated organizational skills with an ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent candidate assessment,  the ability to make best-fit recommendations to managers
  • Experience working in a high energy, resulted oriented environment
  • Demonstrated technical skills including MS Office Suite and experience using applicant tracking systems.  Experience using SuccessFactors will be a plus
  • Must be a U.S citizen or authorized to work in the U.S on a permanent basis
