Senior Payment Strategist II
Join a bank like no other.

When you work with the world's most innovative companies, you know you're making a difference.

Our clients are the game changers, leaders and investors who fuel the global innovation economy. They're the businesses behind the next energy and healthcare breakthroughs, and the visionaries whose new technologies could transform the way people live and work.

They come to SVB for our expertise, deep network and 30+ years of experience in the industries we serve, and to partner with passionate, enterprising SVBers, dedicated to helping them grow and succeed at every stage of their business.

Join the SVB team and help bring our clients' world-changing ideas to life.

The Payments Strategy and Solutions team works with SVB's clients in the payments, fintech, and commerce sectors who are looking to build the next generation of payments solutions on top of the bank's infrastructure, including incubating and supporting the innovative and emerging payment flows of our customers.

The team works in close collaboration with Relationship Banking, Global Treasury and Payment Sales, and Product to identify and analyze business opportunities, explore new operating models, and inform future product development-with an eye towards enabling innovation while managing risk.

The Senior Payments Strategist II role focuses primarily on client-facing responsibilities, including:

  • Engaging directly with SVB clients and prospects in payments, fintech, and other sectors on end-to-end engagements-understanding their payments needs, roadmaps, and business challenges, finding creative ways to enable payments innovation, identifying appropriate solutions alongside other internal SVB stakeholders, and working with clients and deal teams through solution design, approval, and setup phases.

  • Analyzing the fintech, payments, and commerce start-up ecosystem, assessing and identifying opportunities in various segments, and collaborating with Relationship Management and Global Treasury and Payments Sales teams on market engagement strategies.

  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams, spanning Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations, to ensure payments solutions being used by clients are properly structured to scale.
