Your role and impact

We are seeking a Product Strategist at the Associate / Vice President level to join our Product Strategy team in San Francisco within the Global Securities Lending business. The Product Strategy team plays a critical role in the Securities Lending business by working directly with BlackRock's clients and key stakeholders to help enhance understanding of the securities lending market, as well as helping drive the future direction of BlackRock's Securities Lending business. The successful candidate with help us achieve this mission through close collaboration with our clients, colleagues and partners across the firm.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analyses to assist the securities lending business and our clients

  • While not a technologist, you will work directly with data and technology to help interpret trends, build reporting and craft commentary for clients and internal teams

  • Lead and collaborate on data analytic projects, both independently and in partnership with other teams

  • Utilize writing skills to respond to client and consultant queries and RFPs, as well as producing market talking points and commentaries

  • Take ownership of standard marketing materials (slides, brochures, etc), as well as creating and designing new content

  • Creation of standard and bespoke business presentations, for both internal and external audiences, including client account reviews and pitches

  • Collaborate with sales channels, portfolio management and strategy teams, as well as other internal partners to provide One BlackRock client service


What are we looking for?

  • Role can be either full time or part time and associates generally have a minimum of two years of experience. More experienced candidates could be considered for a Vice President role

  • University degree and a passion for both financial markets and serving BlackRock's clients

  • Understanding of programming languages such as SQL and Python preferred, but an aptitude and proven interest in learning about and working with technology will also be given full consideration

  • Highly organized and analytical individual who enjoys working closely with data, presentation materials and other people

  • Creative person who is comfortable taking initiative in pursuing new and more effective ways to produce work and solve problems

  • Proven ability and desire to work both independently and within a collaborative team

  • Strong communication skills and someone that enjoys building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, colleagues and partners across the organization

  • Demonstrated Project management proficiency
