Marketplace engagement senior associates (Regional Marketing Specialist) work in a team of marketing professionals in the West region of Grant Thornton. This team of marketing professionals at Grant Thornton operate to engage and drive revenue growth through relationship-building and brand-building activities, campaigns and programs in our biggest markets within each region.

The marketplace engagement team is accountable among other responsibilities for executing an overarching engagement plan – grounded in data – for the region’s broader account portfolio that drives the firm’s brand. This includes leveraging the full portfolio of national investments – brand experiences, sponsorships, content, industry, digital and CSR – to increase connectivity within one of our six regions.

The senior associates on the team play a significant role executing on that strategy. The marketplace engagement team is accountable among other responsibilities for executing an overarching engagement plan – grounded in data – for the region’s broader account portfolio that drives the firm’s brand. This includes leveraging the full portfolio of national investments – brand experiences, sponsorships, content, industry, digital and CSR – to increase connectivity within one of our six regions. Programs might include live or digital events (content-driven or hospitality/sports marketing), social media engagement, or community involvement, among others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Agent of Change – align to Grant Thornton marketing and brand strategy and ensure that overall marketing & sales efforts are successful for large priority markets

National Campaign Execution – ensure the effective execution of national marketing campaigns and programs direct to the regional level. The marketplace activation team is the primary engagement channel for national marketing programs focused on the development of brand building and revenue-enhancing programs. The senior associate plays an important role in major campaign execution, event planning and execution, and industry and service line marketing efforts as aligned by the RML.

Help Build the Marketplace Activation Team’s Culture – actively participate in regular team meetings and build a culture of collaboration, innovation and creativity.

Communication – participates and plays an active role in regular meetings to share best practices, information, problem solving, etc., with other team members. The senior associate is expected to be a generator of best practices that can serve as a model for other members of the team.

Collaboration – facilitates collaboration between multiple stakeholders within the marketing organization. This individual works directly with members of the national marketing teams to execute national campaigns and programs and offer ideas/state needs for new programs

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism or related field
5-plus years of marketing experience; professional services experience a plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Has a strong foundation in writing and communications,
Sound skill with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
