The Role:

We are looking for a Customer Success Team Manager to join our Business-for-Sale team in our San Francisco office. In this role, you will lead all Customer Success, Account Management, and Business Operations functions for our two industry-leading business-for-sale marketplaces: BizBuySell and BizQuest. You will manage an experienced, multi-person team and, with them, manage all aspects of these critical responsibilities. You will also help define and create Customer Success and Operations strategy and processes that will continue to support the business needs with ever-increasing efficiency and effectiveness.

As the frontline of the business, you and your team will play a key role in identifying business opportunities and ways to improve BizBuySells and BizQuests products and enhance the customer experience. To do this, you will collaborate with teammates in all facets of the business most notably Sales, Product Management and Marketing. Through these efforts, you will directly serve a diverse set of customers including franchisors, business brokers, advertisers, and entrepreneurs helping these people succeed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Client Service, Account Management, or Business Operations experience with a proven track record of delighting customers, preferably in a company serving a broad customer base via online offerings
  • Experience managing and coaching others with a high team management aptitude
  • Experience understanding customer needs and resolving these needs to the satisfaction of both the customer and the business
  • Strong organizational and process management skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to design and adapt processes to meet business needs
  • Ability to and interest in identifying customer needs and opportunities to improve existing products and processes
  • Experience translating good ideas to action plans and successful implementation
  • Proven ability to work with many other functions including sales, engineering, and marketing to resolve issues and tackle new opportunities
  • High-degree of professionalism with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to identify and problem-solve issues before they become larger problems
  • Strong understanding of typical business software (MS Office, Access, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to write simple SQL queries to access data for insight (preferred)
  • BA/BS degree
