The Business RiskOffice serves as the primary point of contact for strategic, operational, andregulatory and compliance matters relating to our Commercial Bank. This rolesits in the first line of defense, within the Business Risk Office team, butwill liaise closely with the second line of defense functions.
The Business Implementation Manager will drivemultiple initiatives simultaneously and will be responsible for businessreadiness and directing the design, development, and implementation ofenhancements, and operational improvements to meet the strategic business andorganizational objectives. These initiatives will look to ensure changes arescalable and comply with all appropriate guidelines, including but not limitedto regulatory compliance, risk management best-practices, industry standards,and SVB methodology.
Managesmultiple complex enterprise projects simultaneously and drives full life-cycledevelopment and delivery of operational improvements from conception throughlaunch
Managesoverall coordination, status reporting and stability of complex project-orientedwork efforts and adheres to project management processes and methodologies toensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high qualitystandards and customer expectations
Understandsbusiness needs and applications and applies these for competitive advantage
Partnerswith the Business Risk Organization and the business community to identify andprioritize opportunities for utilizing process reengineering to achieve thegoals of the enterprise; Drives creation of and/or changes to existingprocesses, procedures, work flows, and related documentation
Managescommunication to Executives and other key stakeholders
Manageoverall coordination of cross-functional teams including subject matter expertsfrom various departments across the organization (e.g. Compliance, ProductManagement, Operations, Internal Audit, Servicing, IT, Legal, Marketing, Sales,Training & Communication, Accounting, Finance, et.al.)
Designs, implements, and practices large scale strategies inchange management, risk management, vendor management, business continuitymanagement, and business implementation management
Actsas an advocate for all business stakeholders within the lifecycle of a project,ensuring that their needs are understood and addressed in advance of launch
Facilitatesteam meetings, business working sessions, vendor meetings, and attends BusinessRisk meetings to drive initiatives and advance business objectives
Partnerswith Compliance, Internal Audit, and other departments to respond toexaminations and audit requests, manage execution and implementation of actionplans, and ensure all processes and changes implemented fully comply withapplicable regulations and legislation, standards, policies, and guidelines(e.g. BSA, AML, SOX, PCI-DSS, ECOA, et.al.)
Authorsbusiness cases and estimates project costs and benefits (ROI, etc.)
Collaborates with operationalteams and client support as needed to resolve issues in a timely and effectivemanner
Conduct riskmanagement/compliance training as needed
5-10 yearsexperience, in project management, business process engineering, and leadershipof matrixed cross-functional teams with emphasis in systems integration, riskmanagement, vendor management, and reporting/business intelligence
Minimum3 years experience in financial services, preferably commercial banking andtreasury services (FX, trade finance, cards, merchant services), with broad anddeep expertise in related product development, operations, and client-servicing
Strongcommunications and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to quickly buildtrust and relationships, manage matrixed teams, bridge communication gaps,resolve conflicts, and influence stakeholders at all levels
Strongtechnical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new products, lines ofbusiness, processes, software, systems, and client needs
Excellentorganizational skills and ability to quickly break down large, complexinitiatives into logical, manageable work packages, tasks, and sub-tasks forexecution
Effectiverisk management skills and ability to predict and mitigate risks and issues, aswell as anticipating and proactively preparing for changes and impacts toclients and SVBs business
Expertat gap and root cause analysis; Familiarwith root cause analysis tools and techniques
