The Challenge:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable communications and sensor systems to provide mission critical capabilities to commercial, government and military operations. As a network engineer on our team, you have the chance to design, develop, prototype, and operate Navy/Marine Corps (NMC) networks for both a shore and afloat platforms in accordance with government best practices. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize NMC networks, their data links, and their overall security. Youll develop your skills in NMC networking requirements, interoperability, and tactical data links while gaining experience in military operations, force protection, commercial services, and Cloud technologies. Grow your skills by merging currently networking technologies with next generation commercial and government off the shelf capabilities to deliver the most advanced ashore and afloat networking to our first line of defense. Thats why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network US Navy shipboard communication networks, Military Operation Center (MOC) networks, and commercial networks required for disseminating reliable and robust data.

As a network engineer on our team, youll help further the development of RF communications and sensor systems across various sectors of the government, including the DoD, Department of Homeland Security, and other government entities in support of our national defense. Youll work with RF and networking subject matter experts in both industry and DoD to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. Youll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, youll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to grow your skills in selection of equipment, spectrum, location, infrastructure, security, and waveform technologies while continuing to grow your network engineering experience.
