We are seeking a talented Director, Product Management (Fraud Product Portfolio) to execute on the product strategy for CO-OP Financial Services’ products and solutions; manage portfolio of Fraud products; develop delivery and implementation of Product Road-map for multi-phase product initiatives, follow the product development methodology & discipline within CO-OP Financial Services in collaboration with cross functional business units.   Responsibilities include product assessments, business case creation, business requirements, operating model, product positioning/commercialization, competitive analysis, product integration, market launch, and ongoing product lifecycle management.

  • Directs and Manages team of Product Managers.  
  • Provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.
  • Manages supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and terminating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Manages the entire Fraud Product Portfolio P&L.
  • Provides direction in the market analysis process for new products/services to determine customer needs, industry direction, competitive product and market positioning and overall product strategy.
  • Ensures the timely creation and updating of the product vision and roadmap.
  • Provides guidance to support new product/service viability and aid/supports in the summary recommendation of go or no-go decision for senior leadership.
  • Ensures that there is adherence to the standard product methodology: development of the business plan, including strategic requirements, such as product design and strategic fit, go-to-market strategy, plus financial business case; pricing, cost, revenue forecasts, capital costs, profit.
  • Contributes to the collaboration of the product leadership team to determine and analyze interconnectedness of products/partners/technologies to create best of breed products/services (this includes the Strategy and Integration Solutions Architect.
  • Manages/Oversees the entire product development cycle including requirements (functional, operational, and technical), documentation, and resource management, system integration, testing compliance, product launch and implementation.
  • Effectively manage product positioning, and value creation with customers through customer satisfaction, QBRs and NPS measures.
  • Oversees and provides guidance to support the creation of capital and expense budgets to ensure adherence to budget while maintaining requirements for the product.
  • Provide strategic support for the product managers on both training, customer meetings, demonstrations and  CO-OP events.
  • Oversee spend and engagement with vendors to help deliver promised value to customers.
  • Ensures the management of life cycle of all products or product lines; including evaluating customer needs, product enhancement, and determining end of life timing and strategy.
  • Oversees the roles and responsibilities of all ecosystem players and distribution channels and highlights to the SVP/VP when there is an inefficiency or anomaly.  SVP/VP and Director work in collaboration to perform an appropriate solution.
  • Oversees the Product enablement activities for the Product teams, through collaboration with sales and marketing, and training.
  • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

What Youll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree plus ten years of product experience, including at least three years in a product management role, or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Knowledge of strategic and tactical product management and product development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning process.
  • Knowledge of product life cycle management tenets.
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting, creation of budgets and financial justification for product business decisions.
  • Proficient understanding and knowledge of financial services industry, preferably credit unions and payments industry.
  • Knowledge of different product pricing strategies.
  • Knowledge of technical product management.
  • Knowledge of technical account management.
  • Knowledge of vendor management.
  • Knowledge of payment processing, fraud and authentication products.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Accomplished presentation skills and comfort level in front of executives, reporters and executive customers.
  • Strong negotiation skills and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to synthesize disparate and complex technology and summarize key points concisely for consumption by different levels of the organization , including executive team.
  • Skilled at evaluation of business and product opportunities and strategic product planning.
  • Assessing impact on organization and operational environment of new product initiatives.
  • Adaptive personality (not rattled by changing conditions or circumstances).
  • Organization skills in fostering structure and accountability.
