    Overview

    East West Bank is currently seeking a BSA Business Analyst. 

    Responsibilities
    • Generate and compile BSA reports to provide to management

    • Coordinate data entry, data maintenance and data correction of BSA information

    • Perform reporting and follow up related to issues and findings in previous reports

    • Perform tracking and data entry of BSA report (metrics, QC, etc).

    • Oversees the operation and entry of data into BSA’s data log

    • Understanding of data processing, application development processes, application testing and data mapping activities

    • Build dashboard information views and diagrams of processes, technology views and combination views

    • Work with IT staff member to ensure that data integrity is maintained

    • Scheduling and execution of application testing for new application implementations, including managing vendor and bank personnel testers

    • Thorough knowledge of working scheduling concepts, task execution, meeting milestones targets and deliverables

    • Process improvement skills – observation, analysis and gap analysis

    • Experience using an application testing tool such as Bugnet, TFS, HPQC

    • Transparent in expressing the status, issues with management

    • Tuning and calibrating rules and thresholds in Management System; analyzing data, selecting samples and making recommendations on tuning.

    • Automating data and reporting on current reporting/metrics

    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

    • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications

    • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications

    • Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures

    • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions

    • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports

    • Suggest changes to senior management (BSA Officer) using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes

    • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems, including but not limited to AI and Machine Learning.

    • Performs additional duties as required

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree is required
    • 2-5 years in data analysis
    • Expert with MS office with specific emphasis on Excel and Access
    • Experience in building data metrics, dashboards/charts and reports
    • Experience in process analysis, gap analysis, building roadmaps for new process implementation and process improvements
    • Well organized, accuracy, critical thinking to prioritize workload and use sound judgement
    • Ability to lead, communicate and coordinate well with Lead and Management Team
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience in Tableau Software
    • Experience in Microsoft Access and/or SQL
    • Experience with NICE Actimize
    • Data mining, analytical skills; ability to report at macro and micro levels on metrics
    • BSA-AML knowledge
