The Relationship Advisor is the primary bank advisor for anassigned portfolio of clients and provides support to peers within aRelationship Advisor Team. This role manages a portfolio of clients and is responsible for growing and nurturing the relationshipsto increase SVB product awareness; penetration; counter competitive activity;and serves as first point of contact supporting client on inquires related toclient accounts. Provides assistance directlyor indirectly utilizing internal partners for activities related to on-boarding;assessing risk related transactions; fraud mitigation, cash flow management,inquires on other daily banking operational needs; and conducts outreachrelated to incident/campaign. Evaluates each transactional item and accessesthe appropriate actions and/or response, including probing for additionalinformation, researching, escalating, developing solution, or engaging the DealTeam or Product Advisors. Maintains a knowledge of various products and accountablefor advising clients on options to positively influence change in theiroperations which may include recommending modification additional bank productsor programs. Applies appropriatejudgment to assess risk in regards to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-MoneyLaundering regulations, account ownership, account controls, fraud, fee waiversand overdraft. Researches client trendsand proactively contacts clients to advise them on best practices and otherfinancial product or programs to advance their financial strategy.
Travel among LA and Orange County SVB locations to occur to attend internal and external meetings.
Possess knowledge related to bank deposit and cash management products and services, including but not limited to online banking platforms, account reporting, cash management disbursement and collection solutions.
Solid understanding of routine client inquiries including, but not limited to: general account and/or product support inquires; user administration inquiries and associated online training; operational troubleshooting for all products and services; liaison between client and internal business partners for problem resolution; and fraud monitoring, risk identification/resolution
Ability to develop strong positive relationships with external clients and internal partners
Adept at understanding and interpreting simple to moderately complex client inquiries

High School Diploma or Equivalency PLUS
4-6 years of related professional experience (banking/financial services industry or customer service) OR
7-9 years of overall experience
Bachelors Degree desired and may be considered as 2-3 years overall experience
Demonstrated client relationship building experience and/or client support in financial services and/or products.
Occasional travel may be required
