Senior Transition Associate

Position Description

The Transitions team serves as the integral link between Account Management, Portfolio Management and IMS Operations when managing portfolio events including setting up new accounts, adding to existing portfolios and changing portfolio benchmarks. The Senior Transitions associate role will report directly to the manager of the Transitions team and assist with managing the PIMCO/IMS Transitions relationship. Will also work on operations related projects related to enhancing custodian communication, fixed income benchmark management, portfolio performance and operations management training for account and portfolio managers.

The Senior Transitions Associate ensures that all aspects to setting up or closing portfolios are handled properly. This will require working within a small PIMCO team environment and coordinating new account related activities within several departments including portfolio management, legal, compliance, funds administration, analytics, performance, account management and portfolio management.

Position Requirements

  • Seasoned Associate/Manager with Transitions management experience
  • Strong understanding of Fixed Income fundamentals
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in financial markets, including course work or work experience in areas related to economics, fixed income analytics or portfolio management
  • Progress towards CFA a plus
  • Outstanding relationship building skills
  • Well organized, high energy self starter, to work in a team environment
  • Confident working with PIMCO's most senior management levels
  • Clear commitment to PIMCO's culture, values and approach
