Position Overview
The Jr. Business Analyst supporting the Risk Reporting Platform will help deliver advanced software applications while ensuring alignment with strategic business initiatives. The role will provide oversight and support for front-office software systems including risk and performance reporting. You will work with the business and technology to define development objectives, timelines, and success criteria. Furthermore, a qualified candidate will offer ongoing guidance and training to new and existing staff in developing plans and implementing project objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the business and technology stakeholders to design, test, and support portfolio risk and performance related systems
  • Help define project objectives, scope, timelines, and success criteria
  • Support developers in the clarification and delivery of business requirements
  • Assist with the coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT) and software releases
  • You will build queries, perform data validation, and troubleshoot data anomalies
  • Write User Stories in JIRA with well-defined acceptance criteria in the Gherkin style format

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Finance with a minimum 1+ years of experience in a related industry
  • Strong JQL, SQL or PL/SQL background preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel/VBA skills
  • You are a self-starter that thrives in an demanding environment
  • A highly organized individual
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a geographically dispersed team

Desired Qualifications:
  • Progress towards CFA designation
  • MBA or military background advantageous
  • Programming experience
  • Understanding of Project Management tools such as JIRA, Pivotal, or MS Project with a focus on automation
