The Business Systems Analyst will work as part of the IT Corporate team. The incumbent in the Business Systems Analyst role will be responsible for prioritizing projects requiring systems analysis in support of business operations and objectives. Primary responsibilities include requirements gathering and analysis; application testing and deployment; workflow process development, and post-production application support.
The Business Systems Analyst will conduct both business process and technical systems analysis, develop requirements for new, and support existing, in-house and third party application implementations. The individual will have regular interactions with all levels of management and the end user community to make recommendations, and to design, modify and standardize business policies/procedures through system implementation. In addition, the individual will coordinate all system life cycle activities with technology stakeholders throughout the IT department. Over time, this individual will become familiar with the firm’s data and business workflows and contribute to their further enhancement.
Evaluate and analyze business workflow needs and issues, gather requirements and develop web portals through the BPM suite of tools called K2 blackpearl.
Integrate third-party client-server applications
Build development requests and track project status on new and existing enhancements for all supported applications
Support all ad-hoc technical issues on various supported applications/tools to meet all Service level agreements
Perform thorough quality assurance testing on new and enhancement features
Provide production support to the user community when necessary
Communicate effectively with Manager and/or project lead to provide progress updates, roadblocks, and offer suggestions & solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as analytical skills
Minimum 2 years of workflow development experience in K2 blackpearl, SharePoint, Nintex, Appian or similar environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Math
Must be detailed oriented, quality driven, ability to work in a fast–paced environment, and well organized
Minimum 2 years SQL experience.
General knowledge of how to navigate data entities and their relationships
Design and implement simple SQL tables, views, procedures
2-3 years of experience in SharePoint Administration, IIS and Windows Server administration
Experience in developing SSRS reports in SQL Server 2008/2012/2016
2-3 years of third-party client-server applications integration and support, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, systems maintenance, migration, performance tuning and monitoring of software, security, procedures and updates
2-5 years of IT experience in Financial Services, both buy and sell side
Sitecore, or equivalent Content Management platform
Coveo, or equivalent Search Engine
Knowledge in various investment instruments and general portfolio management
