The Analyst will work under the direction of the Senior Analyst in the Fixed Income Group at TCW.  The main responsibility of this position will be to provide analytical and research support to the Chief Investment Officer and Generalist Portfolio Managers in the Fixed Income group.

• Provide support to the generalist portfolio management team
• Ad hoc and recurring research projects and analytical work as directed
• Conduct statistical analyses
• Assemble and review data; generate charts and graphs
• Develop and coordinate presentation materials
• Data manipulation and augmentation for the above
• Write commentary, reports, responses, summaries, etc.
• Assist with the RFP process on behalf of the generalist portfolio managers
• Portfolio monitoring and reporting

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field with demonstrated academic achievement; CFA or MBA a plus
• Strong understanding of economics, economic data, and financial markets
• Excellent financial, mathematical and statistical skills
• Strong writing and communication skills; able to work with individuals at all levels within the organization
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Bloomberg
• Excellent work ethic

Desired Qualifications:
• Desired backgrounds include experience as an analyst on Wall Street, an investment banking/sales trading associate, or an analyst within a Fixed Income investment team
