Experian, a historically successful data company, is looking make Analytics and AI core to the DNA of the company and believes there is a significant opportunity to be captured in this space. Experian has a Global business focused on Analytics Solutions and the market in this space is evolving rapidly. We are looking to capture greater share and establish a market leading position. We will need to use our data assets to expand our leadership position in credit risk attributes and models, as well as look into expanding into new verticals through development of analytics products
Globally, Experian has circa 800 Analytics people (Data Scientists, Analytics Consultants, Analytics Modellers & Engineers) and given our matrix based structure these Analytics teams / resources are based in and report directly into the regions. Experians leadership team all believe this is an area critical to our future and we have a significant amount of untapped potential.
Success will be measured by commercial and client outcomes, so taking a practical and action oriented approach to executing will be key. This will include market traction on analytics product developed and efficiency achieved through productization and standardization of the business among other things.The journey will need to framed akin to a venture startup in a staged way as a, prove as you go to get funded for the next round model.
We are looking for an analytics leader with a strong product mindset, commercial focus, experience in the application of latest data science methodologies, tools and platforms with a track record and experience driving impact from Analytics and AI. Experience in the credit domain space with financial services clients is desireable. The successful candidates will work closely with the other regional analytics teams across the globe to develop, manage and drive commercial outcomes from analytics products and improve delivery of analytics through productization. The role holder will have access to and work collaboratively with the regional analytics teams. In addition, the role holder will be part of a core, highly motivated self-driven central team lead by the EVP.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:
Build, Manage and Commercialize Analytics Products: Identify opportunities to build manage and drive into the market Global Analytics Products and achieve success . This would include scaling regional products Globally, scaling products developed in the data lab, productizing projects, developing products jointly with Decisioning, Fraud and ID and incubating new analytics products.
Lead initiatives to solidify foundations to drive scalable and efficient analytics delivery: Drive initiatives in the business to develop much more scalable and efficient delivery of solutions. Automate and Empower - drive out cost of model development and tuning, using machine learning to reduce and eliminate effort, enable analytics practitioners and leads across regions through technology that simplifies complex model creation. Enable supporting platforms, process and technologies to Scale and ease effort and cost of data preparation and ingestion regardless of number and type of resources.
Design and build a Global Analytics Capability : Setup and build over time a global analytics capability which includes analytics delivery and product management. Develop a vision and plan for how the current regional capabilities come together in a matrix and then become a connected Global Capability.
Impact oriented Analytics leader knowledgeable in modern Data Science Techniques: Impact oriented Analytics leader, with a demonstrable track record of driving commercial and client impact from Analytics and AI. Passionate about Analytics, has historically been a practitioner and has the ability to get hands on and into the detail when guidance is required. Curious and stays up to date with the latest data science techniques (ML) and credible with data science experts and product experts. Experience building, training and validating machine learning models of all levels of sophistication in Python and/or R, with a strong knowledge of both industry standard and emerging open source packages and tooling.
Strong Commercial leadership: Highly commercially focused and has been in roles where delivering commercial outcomes from analytics has been essential for success beyond just executing and delivering. Experience in both setting up programs to deliver commercial impact as well as crafting a compelling narrative around the impact story and building business cases and leadership based on impact.
Strong Analytics Product and builder mindset: Has experience productizing analytics and/ or managing and building analytics products and componentry. An important part of journey will be moving the organization more to Regional and Global analytics products. Is passionate about and has experience building.
Collborative mindset, intellectual flexibility and ability to work in a matrix: Collaborative mindset with a track record of leveraging expertise from diverse teams and stakeholders.
Financial Services and Credit Domain Expertise: Experience working in Financial services and credit/ lending expertise is highly desireable. Sector background likely to be from global financial services / fintech, data or software markets.

Bachelors Degree in a numerical subject is most likely
Masters level qualification or higher is preferred but not essential
