Heres what youll do:
The ABL Senior Credit Analyst Associate provides support for the ABL Department and reports to the Head of Relationship Banking. The position of ABL Senior Credit Analyst Associate is responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers, including more complex, ABL borrowers; determines the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of ABL loans; assists ABL loan officers in writing ABL loan requests; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and identifying opportunities to provide additional services.
Essential Job Duties
Assists ABL Portfolio Managers in performing pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within the framework of the Banks credit culture and current economic and industry trends.
Assists in gathering data from customers, internal and outside sources; prepares spreadsheets and analyzes financial information including financial statements and tax returns; contacts customers for additional information and clarification of data.
Compiles data from credit bureaus, conducts industry peer comparisons, and performs cash flow analyses and other such activities.
Writes financial reviews and reports; makes recommendation on loan structures and terms to ABL Portfolio Managers.
Assists in coordinating processing of approved loans; ensures loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; obtains sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; solves problems relative to processing and servicing of loans.
Informs when up-to-date financial statements are needed for commercial accounts; ensures credit inquires and UCC filings are researched to determine credit worthiness and appropriate collateral positioning are achieved.
Assist in the review and renewal of credit facilities; provides back-up support.
Checks pledged assets as requested.
Assists in verification of funds with mortgage companies and contractors.
Develops knowledge of financial industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors and competition.
Reinforces superior customer service through his or her own example along with appropriate follow through with clients and employees.
Assists with due diligence.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
What you need for this position:
Bachelors degree preferred.
Six (6) years experience in business banking with at least two (2) years of credit analysis experience or other equivalent experience in banking.
Minimum 5 years experience with asset based lending.
Work related experience should consist of a financial analyzing or lending background.
Advanced experience, knowledge and training in financial statement and tax return analysis typically resulting from a combination of education in accounting, financial and/or credit analysis or related areas.
