Experians Product team is seeking a talented Associate Product Manager. This role will fulfill the Product Owner role as part of an agile product development team dedicated to supporting the full lifecycle of products and features for Experians mobile apps, as well as act as the Product Manager for in-membership Support functions and any other features assigned based on business priorities for both and mobile apps. Key areas of responsibility include: gathering and defining product requirements (user stories), competitive market analysis, working in partnership with internal & external stakeholders, UX/UI designers, technology teams, and guiding projects through the entire software product development lifecycle as a product owner role for an agile development team. The role requires someone who is used to operating at a fast pace, is comfortable with change and team feedback, is detail oriented, is capable of balancing several projects at the same time, drives for results and has a high standard for quality.

  • Serve as Product Owner for the assigned mobile app product development agile team(s) by managing and prioritizing the backlog in support of the overall ECS product roadmap, facilitating grooming and sprint planning, and all other day-to-day tasks that keep our sprints on track.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, synthesize, and codify market requirements in the form of user stories.
  • Define, document, and articulate detailed product and business requirements for new products and major enhancements, including but not limited to: functional, non-functional, and reporting requirements and use cases in the form of product requirements, flow charts, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with Technology teams to determine plans for product implementation and deployments with business partners.
  • Balance product requirements and market impact against time-to-market and project risks.
  • Ensure that products and product capabilities deliver an optimal user experience, conform to the product requirements, are regulatory-compliant and meet product quality standards.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Scrum Masters and other Product Managers to manage all stages of the product development lifecycle process to ensure that the specified product, enhancement is released on time, with quality.
  • Facilitate conversations around trade-off decisions between functionality, resources, and schedules with Product leadership, and communicate to stakeholders effectively.
  • Support senior members of product team with implementation of requirements for larger initiatives and features.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business/Marketing, or a technical field preferred.
  • 0-1 year of relevant product management experience in the mobile, internet or software business, ideally with financial services sectors or subscription-based businesses.
  • Knowledgeable and practicing core Agile principles.
  • Basic knowledge and proficiency in software development, with familiarity with mobile app-specific software development a plus.
  • Familiarity with key product management functions, including writing requirements/user stories, creating mocks/wireframes/prototypes, market research, and performance metrics reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, implement, and analyze metrics for initiatives to drive results.
  • Proven people skills and ability to write clearly, objectively, succinctly, and persuasively.
