Stock Plan Manager
The SVB Financial Group Stock Plan Administration team has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager, who will be responsible for accurately and efficiently handle the day-to-day administration of the company's global stock plans as well as apply understanding of current report production process and requirements to drive automation of report production in associated reporting tools. This role works as a member of the Controllership team and collaborates closely with Legal, HR, IT and the broader finance team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills, a high level of accuracy, ability to focus on detail, and is a person who takes pride in delivering high quality work. The candidate will be part of the External Reporting Group and will report to the Manager II, Stock Plan Administration/Sr. Stock Plan Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Administer company's global equity plans and ensure that all equity transactions are processed and settled timely and accurately

  • Administer company's global ESPP plan, including enrollment, contribution changes, purchase of shares, ESPP limits and refund

  • Processing new grants, restricted stock unit releases, and option/stock-settled appreciation right transactions.

  • Coordinate and provide adequate information and timely response related to equity transactions with Finance, HR, Tax and Payroll departments to ensure effective transaction processing

  • Coordinate with Legal to maintain opening and closing of the insider trading windows, access person listing and section 16 officers trade restrictions in the equity system

  • Work closely with legal to ensure timely filing of Section 16 reports (Form 3, 4 and 5)

  • Perform daily/monthly/quarterly share and option reconciliations. Provide periodic reports to Finance, HR, and International contacts.
  • Preparing and distributing employee communications.

  • Generate equity reports to support company's SEC filings including Form 10-Q, 10-K and Proxy statement; and ad-hoc reports for Finance, Tax, HR and Legal

  • Answering inquiries from company employees and other departments.
  • Creating and updating procedure documents

  • Work with internal and external auditors and Finance team for quarterly reviews, year-end audits, and Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") audits of procedures and controls as needed.

  • Authority to make certain enhancement decisions regarding existing manual processes and evaluating service providers

  • Authority to maintain and update internal Stock Plan Administration website with equity data and information


Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of various types of equity awards and programs across multiple jurisdictions
  • General knowledge of HRIS systems
  • PeopleSoft knowledge a plus
  • Skills

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical abilities, and consistent follow through
  • Ability to maintain confidential information

  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and customer service oriented

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Competencies

  • Proficient in Windows including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required

  • Minimum 3 years of Stock Plan Administration experience; with a public company preferred.

  • Certified Equity Professional designation preferred
  • Preferred Education and Experience

  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) license preferred
