Sr. Learning Management Systems Manager

The Talent Development Global Learning Delivery Center is responsible for managing SVBFG's enterprise-wide learning management system platform and reporting and analytics functions.

The Sr. Learning Management Systems Manager will be responsible for the management of significant projects process re-engineering, process automation, technology implementation, establishing control procedures and driving strategic change throughout the learning management system environment. The selected individual will have responsibility for working on learning management system initiatives including: Talent Development core offering, business unit programs, mandatory compliance training, departmental process enhancements, management reporting and end user services. The selected candidate will partner with Talent Development Team, Business Units and other SVB strategic partners to provide and track learning initiatives for SVB employees.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage daily productions for learning management systems, including course management, troubleshooting, user access, catalogs, and integration issues.
  • Partner with stakeholders, customers, and management to determine learning system management effectiveness, needs, and prioritization.
  • Manage departmental projects using standard project management tools and techniques.
  • Promote efficiencies and/or stronger control environments for the learning management system operating model.
  • Manage learning management system technical staff.
  • Manage Talent Development learning management system vendor relationships, with appropriate input and approvals from management.
  • Maintain current knowledge level of relevant systems and industry trends; recommends training and conferences for self and staff to achieve department goals.
  • Manage complex data analysis and quantitative analysis for Learning Management System Programs.
  • Strong hands-on database skills (Oracle, SQL) and hands-on SQL knowledge and experience with connecting to data sources, perform analysis and support.
  • Manage Learning Management System end user support for service request submitted by business unit stakeholders.
  • Manage Talent Development Mandatory Compliance Training learning management system life cycle.
  • Manage and develop learning management system reporting, dashboards and mandatory compliance training reporting.
  • Monitor and escalate outstanding enterprise-level learning management system issues to Global Learning Delivery Center Director.

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 7-9 years of experience in the banking or financial services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability in management reporting, project management, and data analysis. Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, auditors, and regulatory examiners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft® Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project.
