Director - DevOps/EngOps
DevOps / EngOps Leader Responsibilities
• Build and operate enterprise CICD and Engineering tools ensuring security, high availability, reliability and availability within the overall ecosystem.
• Accelerate cloud transformation by delivering core utilities for engineering teams - logging, metering, monitoring, instrumentation, security, compliance controls etc.,
• Evangelize & Enable "You Build it, You Run it"
• Foster DevOps adoption among engineering teams by empowering them with tools/process to operate as one team
• Define deployment and operations metrics (SLA/SLO/SLI) and monitors to assure efficiency and reliability across all services.
• Define and implement log/metrics aggregation platform delivering a holistic view of events happening in a service's ecosystem
• One-click deployments
• Chaos engineering
• Implement the DevOps roadmap and measure success via key performance indicators agreed with other Engineering Managers
• Work closely with partners to optimize builds, tests and deployments workflows
• Partner with Security, Cloud COE and Engineering teams to embed security controls into continuous integration and delivery and baking security into the infrastructure.
• Ease integration of security controls and polices into SDLC through automation, self-service and autonomy.
• Responsible for ongoing availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning
• Monitor critical metrics and maintain executive-facing dashboards to track progress and drive improvements across the portfolio of standards.
Operate with following key tenants
• Monitoring and alerting are configurable by the team operating the service.
• Deployment patterns for building applications or services are reused.
• Testing patterns for building applications or services are reused.
• Teams contribute improvements to tooling provided by other teams.
• Configurations are managed by a configuration management tool.

• Deep knowledge on crafting and operating secure environments.
• You demonstrate a confirmed ability to successfully lead a 24/7 internet product, running both performance and uptime
• Shown experience with building fault-tolerant distributed systems at scale.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and attention to detail skills
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

• 5+ years' experience leading teams of software engineers
• Experience running a distributed team
• 5+ years as a hands-on software engineer (C++, Java, Scala, C#, or Python or similar programming languages) so you understand the core principles of the engineering work that is going on in the team
