We have an exciting 10-month secondment opportunity, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead, nurture and optimise the SME Trading team.

Purpose of the role:

You will be responsible for leading the delivery of all SME employer facing trading campaigns including Life, General Insurance, Health and Protection, working with stakeholders across business units and with our partner agencies to deliver multi-channel digital trading campaigns.

We are looking for an innovative and creative marketer to lead the SME trading plan and to deliver Aviva’s ambitious trading targets. This is a role that will involve liaison with key stakeholders across the business to bring the best of Aviva to the trading plan.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Drive the marketing led contribution to business targets through existing, new and emerging markets within the SME landscape

  • Create and deliver a fully integrated direct marketing strategy that meets commercial and strategic objectives in the SME market across Life, Health, Protection and GI lines

  • Specifically, the role will lead the definition and delivery of all marketing led trading opportunities, including paid media, data planning and selections, across the composite

  • Direct trading campaigns to acquire and grow SME businesses across the Aviva composite offering, including Workplace Pensions, General Insurance, Protection and Health

  • Direct trading campaigns to grow and retain existing SME customers

  • Campaigns to drive business registrations

  • Campaigns and interventions to deliver Workplace (SME) retention targets

  • Develop clear, credible and consistent marketing communications delivery of our key messages using activity across the marketing mix, with a specific focus on digital and paid media channels

  • Develop improved marketing capability- working with the digital performance, channel optimisation and broader UK Digital and direct teams

  • Build a clear measurement framework for assessing campaign performance, working with the channel performance team – leading the monthly trading forums and providing tactical performance updates as required

  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with key BU Distribution teams to ensure commercial credibility of the team and clear understanding of required outcomes

  • Build strong relationships with Digital teams and our media partner agency to ensure both marketing activity and digital journeys are optimised to drive optimal return on investment

  • Create strong working partnerships with the wider Marketing function and approval and operations teams to ensure consistent and compelling communications across the customer journey

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Experience within a fast-paced marketing-led trading environment and working within the Financial Services industry

  • A deep understanding of digital paid media, digital PR, PPC and SEO, as well as owned media tactics such and Email and Direct Mail

  • Experience of media planning & optimisation across PPC, Programmatic and Social channels

  • Highly numerate and analytical

  • Experience of using tools such as Adobe Analytics to measure marketing KPIs and identify areas of optimisation or opportunity

  • Practical working knowledge of delivering and optimising automated campaign workflows, experience of on-boarding technology and using Adobe Campaign Manager advantageous

  • Proven track record of direct marketing campaign planning and delivery (digital and data driven)

  • Well-developed consultancy skills, including a successful record of building personal credibility and managing relationships with key business decision-makers

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills representing marketing at relevant leadership forums, reporting as required
