An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Relationship Manager or Business Development Manager to join our highly regarded Business Finance division. This role will cover our Wales & SW region and will be responsible for marketing and sell the bank's products to medium-sized companies and equivalent entities with a strong emphasis on customers with turnover greater than £2M.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Relationship Manager or Business Development Manager to join our highly regarded Business Finance division. This role will cover our Wales & SW region and will be responsible for marketing and sell the bank's products to medium-sized companies and equivalent entities with a strong emphasis on customers with turnover greater than £2M. The role will focus on our Asset Finance products providing lending solutions to medium sized enterprises across the Wales and South West region.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Originate new customer relationships for the core product set by taking a proactive role in identifying and approaching prospects, promoting the companies financing products and services.
  • Develop and maintain a network of KBI's through developing a personal network within the local business and professional community.
  • Identify opportunities to extend and develop business with existing customers.
  • Write high quality credit papers for proposed transactions in timely manner for submission to Credit Risk and carry out regular credit reviews on existing customers.
  • Undertake CDD checks early in the process and adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance to all regulations.

Suitable candidates will have the following experience:

  • Experience in financial services (AF/ABL, financing, commercial lending) with a track record of developing and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • A minimum 2 years' experience as a Relationship Manager in commercial lending, including dealing with customers with a turnover above £2M.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Specific experience of in lending to companies with turnover of £2M and in driving the credit analysis of such firms/deals.
