If you thought it was just classic design that kept Clarks shoes in style, think again. Because it’s as much about great financial analysis and amazing commercial savvy as it is about fashionable footwear. That’s why we’re now looking for a Lead Financial Analyst to lead on performance reporting of a specific business area, as well as supporting business-wide reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Every step begins with great financial knowledge. Every step begins with Clarks.

The role

You’ve already made your mark as a great Finance Analyst and are ready to take that next step forward – this is your chance. It’s a real partnership role that will set you alongside the business team, so you’ll be solving problems, as you deliver transactional analysis and reporting. There’ll be lots of opportunities to present your findings to key stakeholders and you’ll drive the team to put together compelling cases for change, as well as developing and maintaining the systems by which they’ll do so. An improvement guru within the department, you’ll be the person the team looks to for new, better ways of delivering deep, accurate quantitative data to wow your stakeholders.

A bit about you

Ideally a qualified accountant with AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification, you’ll have data modelling experience and proven ability to create meaningful reports from your analysis. Not to mention excellent presentation skills and great commercial awareness that allows you to challenge the numbers and respond effectively to changes in the market. It’s all about enabling your customer group to assess performance and make future decisions. So, you’ll be thorough, accurate and a brilliant communicator who can exert a wider influence through your findings and fantastic problem solving abilities.

Life with us

Every 60 seconds, 105 pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.6 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 15,000 employees across 75 different countries – everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s biggest everyday footwear brand (by sale volume), we’re still owned by the Clarks family and based in Street, Somerset – where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.

The benefits

As well as development opportunities, pension and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a variety of benefits. These range from 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) to discounted healthcare. And, as everyone loves new shoes, you’ll also get a very healthy discount on our products.

We love hearing from great people
