The Role:

Our PAC Management Reporting team within Finance has a 6 month fixed term contract opportunity for a Finance or Actuarial Assistant. The role is based in our Stirling office at Craigforth though the COVID outbreak means it is likely that the work will be mostly home-based.

Key Work Level Accountabilities:
  • Accountable for delivering a quality service and product to customers and stakeholders
  • Focuses on quality of delivery to achieve clear outputs within guidelines and precedent
  • Runs the organisation's processes and systems following pre-defined procedures
  • Adapts to change, responds with initiative and make suggestions for improvements to own work and processes

Key Responsibilities for this role:

The role offers the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of mostly numerical-based work supporting the management of our with-profits products and funds, predominantly :
  • Unit pricing for PruFund
  • Development and maintenance of with-profits management information
  • Helping ensure customers are treated fairly.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Strong numerical and spreadsheet (Excel) skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work proactively within a team
  • A strong track record of delivery including process and control improvements,
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Some experience of producing financial/statistical information and sharing findings and results, building an understanding of audience specific communication requirements.
