Our client, a leading tech company is growing and are now looking for an experience Group Tax Manager to join their team on a permanent basis

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys a broad remit, takes ownership of their work and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment. You'll combine technical tax expertise with hands-on delivery, working closely with Finance, external advisors and stakeholders across the Group.

This as a hands-on, commercially minded Group Tax Manager role rather than a purely compliance-focused position.

The Role

As Group Tax Manager, you will own the Group's tax reporting and ensure that tax accounting, compliance and disclosures are accurate, timely and robust across our international operations.

You'll have particular responsibility for the UK and US, while also overseeing tax matters across the Group's other jurisdictions. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to get into the detail, manage external advisors effectively and continuously look for ways to improve our processes and controls.

What You'll Be Doing

Group Tax Reporting
  • Own the preparation and delivery of the Group's tax reporting under IFRS, including current and deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures for the annual report.
  • Lead and coordinate the year-end tax reporting process across the Group, including UK, US and other international entities.
  • Ensure accurate tax balances are reflected in the Group consolidation and statutory accounts, working closely with the Financial Reporting team.
  • Manage the Group's transfer pricing policies and documentation, working with external advisors where appropriate.
  • Act as the key point of contact for external auditors on tax reporting and accounting matters.
Tax Compliance & Advisory
  • Manage UK corporation tax compliance, including preparing key deliverables for external advisors and reviewing tax computations and returns.
  • Oversee US federal and state tax compliance in partnership with local advisors, ensuring Group reporting requirements are met.
  • Coordinate corporate tax compliance across other international jurisdictions, working with local advisors as required.
  • Monitor and manage VAT, sales tax and other indirect tax obligations across the Group.
  • Stay up to date with changes in UK, US and international tax legislation and assess their potential impact on the business.
  • Manage the Group's R&D tax claims, ensuring compliance while maximising available opportunities.
  • Provide practical tax advice to Finance and wider business stakeholders as required.
Processes, Controls & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain and enhance tax processes, controls and documentation in line with strong governance and audit requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day tax administration, including filings, correspondence with tax authorities and maintenance of tax registrations.
  • Support tax-related finance systems, reporting and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and leverage technology and AI to streamline tax processes.
  • Provide support on wider Finance administration and ad hoc reporting activities where required.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical tax knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach.

You'll ideally have:
  • ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent qualification, with relevant post-qualification tax experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax and tax accounting, including experience with IFRS tax reporting.
  • Proven experience managing Group tax reporting within a multi-entity, international organisation.
  • Good working knowledge of, or exposure to, US tax, particularly federal and state corporate tax.
  • Experience managing tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, either directly or through external advisors.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems and ERP environments.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical tax matters clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach and the confidence to take ownership in a lean Finance environment.
  • An interest in using AI and technology to improve processes and ways of working would be advantageous.
