Job Purpose The role is primarily to devise our clients training strategy, oversee its implementation and assess its outcome. You will need to drive suitable client training initiatives that will increase the use of our Payments and Tax Free services.

Job purpose


The role is primarily to devise our clients training strategy, oversee its implementation and assess its outcome. You will need to drive suitable client training initiatives that will increase the use of our Payments and Tax Free services. Providing project and operational support to the Group Sales Leadership Director will be another key element of the role. You will need to be comfortable in managing a Group Training Executive (reporting directly to you). The overall objective is to ensure delivery of a high quality service to our clients. This role will adhere to Planet policies, procedures and keep with the Company's Vision, Mission and Strategy.

Job background


Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) is a service that allows international shoppers paying by Visa or MasterCard, to pay in their own currency. Using credit card recognition, Planet automatically identifies international cards and their associated currencies; Shoppers pay in their own currency with a competitive fixed rate.
Tax Free is a VAT refund service which provides shoppers and merchants with an innovative and easy-to-use Tax Free shopping (VAT refunding) solution.

Key Result Areas


* Identify and assess current and future training needs through product and market analysis
* Devise client training plans that will ensure clients offer our services to their shoppers
* Managing one direct report (Group Training Executive, based in Redhill)
* Deploy a wide variety of training methods and keep up to date with industry development
* Create a training Best Practice for rollout to clients and/or countries
* Manage and evaluate the ongoing training effectiveness and success
* Resolve any training issues derived from clients contacting Planet customer services
* Responsible for executing a rolling training plan across various key clients
* Providing comprehensive training to clients primarily in the UK and France
* Delivery of 1:1 and group training sessions, from Junior to Senior Management levels
* Providing a professional key point of contact for client training requirements
* Help to drive the continued rollout of our eLearning modules and online training portal
* Develop an expert understanding of our services both internally and externally
* Responsible for operational maintenance and improvements to the online training portal


Other key tasks


* Work closely with our Group Marketing team to align design and strategy requirements
* Preparation and delivery of eLearning & Salesforce reports to key stakeholders
* Coordinate with other departments (e.g. Sales and Support) to ensure processes are aligned
* Gather data from merchants via mystery shopping, observations and face to face surveys
* Help to organise and attend UK & France training events
* Periodically provide ROI and training statistics to the Group Sales and Leadership Director

You will be based in the Redhill office during the early stages of the role. Following this initial period, the expectation is to visit key clients and travel to other countries. Additional regular trips to the France office in Paris will be required along with the occasional trip to other international locations.

Person specification


Knowledge & Experience


* Experience in devising training strategies (primarily in a client facing role)
* Experience of working within the Retail or Financial services industry
* Experience of delivering end user training to all levels of seniority
* Confidence in providing presentations to internal and external senior managers
* Experience in managing a direct report

Desirable


* Working knowledge of Articulate Storyline 2 and Go Animate
* Previous experience using a Learning Management System
* Understanding of blended learning concepts
* Recognized training qualification
