Job Purpose
We now need an ITIL Service Designer to support the transformation and the future growth of the business, simplifying our IT management processes by removing complexity and underpinning the successful management of the new solutions providing market-leading services for our colleagues, customers and advisers.
Canada Life is undertaking a significant refresh of its IT estate, operating processes and procedures to ensure aligning with ITIL best practices. We are looking for an ITIL Certified Service Designer to engage the Dev Ops and Operational supporting teams to conduct a review of all existing working practices and procedures. The individual will then uplift or produce a full Service Design to ensure the processes and produces align to ITIL best practice for the management and control of technologies through, into and within the Production environment.
Following agreement of and implementation of best working practices, the candidate will also liaise with the respective teams to implement and drive ITSM Toolset updates and adoption whilst championing process automation
Key Accountabilities
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of ITIL best practices whilst holding the appropriate certification in ITIL design alongside an appreciation of working within an Agile/DevOps model.
A seasoned ITIL designer, this individual will be comfortable challenging the norm and bringing the team along whilst aligning them to new processes and procedures. Knowledge of Servicenow and Azure Cloud technologies would be a distinct advantage.
Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
A prior background in the Finance/Insurance Industry, particularly an awareness of the regulatory and compliance environment, would be beneficial.
We are offering a one year fixed term contract position with a view to a permanent hire.
