A rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager. Aviva Investors are looking to add a Project Manager into our Global Transformation team. The role will be based in Norwich with travel to London as required.

The Role

You will provide a professional project management and business analysis service for the Investment and Distribution division. You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of allocated project(s) to ensure that project objectives are achieved to agreed time, quality, budget and in accordance with sponsor expectations. In addition you will analyse and document the requirements of business users and identify and assess solutions to meet these requirements, including IT and business process solutions. This will involve ensuring strong communication and project management processes are followed to manage all parties in the project, including internal and external service providers (e.g. JPM IOS, Aviva IT, Aviva Fund Services Luxembourg).

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Projects delivered to time, cost and quality. Inline with the appropriate Aviva and Transformation standards and agreed protocols.
  • Clear, accurate and comprehensive documentation produced and signed off, including project documentation, Operating Models and procedures.
  • Sponsor, stakeholders and partners are actively engaged and are aware of progress and issues in respect of the project delivery.
  • Process and service improvements are delivered which improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Robust, scalable and cost-efficient operational solutions are developed and implemented.

The Team

The Aviva Investors Transformation team partner with the Executive team and help shape the overall business strategy. They take ownership for converting the business strategy into a strategic global roadmap and portfolio of initiatives. They also provide the delivery and governance capability that will ensure successful delivery of the strategic global roadmap as well as the mandatory and regulatory initiatives.


Must Have:

  • Hold a Professional Project Management or Business Analysis qualification.
  • Evidence of delivering change in the context of an evolving, complex and changing organisation, addressing the ambiguity and conflicting demands that may result
  • Evidence of application of Project Frameworks and protocols, including financial control principles.
  • Effective stakeholder management including senior managers, and ability to work well with others at all levels
  • Business Analysis skills and application
  • Ability to run meetings and facilitate workshops to achieve required outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fully competent in the use of MS Office applications and other project tools and methodologies
  • Ability to travel as required to London as required to attend project and Transformation team meetings.


  • Experience of Systems Thinking methodologies and application
  • Understanding of Investment Management business, (Fund structures, Front, Middle and Back office)
  • Specific experience around Alternative Income Assets
