Credit Risk Manager
As a Barclays Credit Risk Manager, you will be managing Credit Risk arising from the Barclaycard Payment Solutions (BPS) products within policy, appetite, impairment budgets and structuring transactions. You'll also be involved in recommending or sanctioning exposure requests from Barclaycard customers, across multiple industry sectors. You will be delivering support to customers through distress, restructuring and insolvency events.

What will you be doing?
• Working in partnership with Relationship/Product teams and relevant bank sanctioning teams, to provide credit input and expertise, delivering a World Class credit service
• Ensuring the achievement of the team's risk and business objectives
• Maintaining and improving the quality of the credit portfolio by application of best practice in decision making, in line with personal and team lending discretions
• Providing expert lending advice and sanctioning for our clients
• Ensuring we provide support to clients within credit appetite, understand the risks, set appropriate monitoring and controls, and provide referrals to Business Support
• Developing a strong partnership with Sales and Relationship teams and their leaders, maintaining and improving the overall quality of our lending book
• Working with Relationship colleagues, providing post application based coaching and discussions

What we're looking for:
• Relevant experience in a Credit Risk management role displaying credit assessment, structuring and sanctioning skills
• Broad understanding of Barclaycard, Business and Corporate Banking products and risk policies
• Relationship building skills demonstrating negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent customer / client focus

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Credit Skills Development (CSD) qualification or equivalent
• Practical and pragmatic approach
• Strong analytical and numerate skills
• Excellent communication skills

Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
