We are looking for a Junior level Infrastructure Engineer with knowledge of Unified Communications (instant messaging, voice, video, mobility etc) to work with us on one of the biggest transformation programmes in Europe, providing technology services that have far-reaching and pivotal roles in citizens' lives.
In BPDTS Ltd you will be part of an organisation responsible for the delivery of digital platforms and services, real-time analytics and flexible infrastructure, providing secure and resilient services to DWP. Joining an innovative, supportive, and fast growing community of skilled digital professionals you will work in agile and creative ways to improve public services, with the power to make a difference to the lives of 22 million UK citizens.
You and your role
You will join an established team of engineers at the junior level, and take responsibility for things like troubleshooting and designs. There'll be lots of chance to work closely with your more experienced colleagues, to learn from them and build your skills while you help deliver big things for us.
You will have the ability to translate your knowledge into the skills needed in unified communications products, working as part of a team and independently to deliver the best service possible.
We'll also support you with progression along a path to qualifications in appropriate products. We fully anticipate that this role will grow, and you with it, and take on more responsibility at a higher level. So you will be someone proactive with a passion to learn and to acquire knowledge and technical skills within an operational environment like ours.

Where will you work?
BPDTS Ltd provides dedicated services to the Department for Work and Pensions. Our digital, data and technology specialists work closely with experts in DWP Digital's community to make digital services quicker, simpler and more efficient for the millions of people that use them.
You'll join us in our easy-to-reach digital hub in Newcastle. We provide the latest tech and tooling and foster a collaborative culture to help our agile, multi-disciplinary teams think big and try new things.
We're just a 5 minute walk from Longbenton Metro station. You'll enjoy facilities including a gym, an indoor sports court, great restaurants and snack bars and loads more. It's a big site, but there is a great sense of community and lots ot get involved in with regualt events and meet-ups.
