We are looking for an Oracle Applications Engineer to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

We're driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services, using fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies to create innovative, scalable and user-centric digital solutions.

As an Applications Engineer you'll drive innovation in our application solutions development. You'll guide our teams in best practice, and delivery operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability and quality of application that will changes the way that millions of UK citizens interact with DWP and its services.

You'll needs good skills and experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, to turn often complex business requirements into technical solutions that work for us and our users

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • You're an Oracle Developer with knowledge and experience in of E-Business Suite Financial modules, specifically General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payments, Sub-Ledger Accounting and Cash Management.
  • You have experience of:
  • Oracle RDBMS.
  • SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader.
  • SQL*Developer.
  • Oracle E-Business Suite Technical Development and associated standards.
  • Oracle Reports.
  • Oracle Application Framework.
  • Oracle Workflow Builder.
  • XML Publisher.
  • You collaborate well with others, to review specifications and you can use these agreed standards and tools to design, code, test, correct and document programmes or scripts of medium to high complexity.
  • You understand the core technical concepts related applications engineering
  • You can translate logical designs into physical designs, and produce detailed designs and documented work using the right methods and tools.
