TEKsystems are partnering with one of the largest financial services companies in their search for permanent Lead Data Engineer or Head of Data. Our client require a senior individual who has knowledge of microservices/service mesh, cloud native solutions from cloud providers, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Azure.
Day-to-day, the role involves blending both deep domain and technical expertise working across several component and feature teams. You'll be innovating in the epicentre of the digital revolution in our Enterprise Data team as we begin our journey to the cloud and enabling earlier value release for our customers.
From a technology standpoint, you'll use your skills with modern technologies such as GitHub, Jenkins and UrbanCode. Additionally, database technology experience such as Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, DB2 and familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and HBase. Additionally, you'll have real passion for coaching and mentoring of less experienced software engineers.
