We are looking for an IT Operations Controller to work with us on one of the biggest transformation programmes in Europe, providing services that have far-reaching and pivotal roles in citizens' lives.

In BPDTS Ltd you will be part of an organisation responsible for the delivery of digital platforms and services, real-time analytics and flexible infrastructure, providing secure and resilient services to DWP. About you

As the IT Operations Controller you will provide hands-on leadership to day and 24/7 shift teams, using their experience to deliver a robust and industry best of class IT operational monitoring service.

You will have the crucial role of proactively detecting and responding to notifications and overseeing checks to ensure that systems and services are performing optimally, applying technical knowledge to understand end to end impacts, escalating any issues to resolution

You are someone who can plan, prioritise, monitor and allocate workload to the Operations analysts within team and who can oversee and support the performance and development of capability of team members

What are we looking for?

  • You have good experience of event monitoring and management, structured problem management and troubleshooting
  • You have experience with service reporting - production and presentation of management information and reports, dashboards etc
  • You have management experience of a technical team: workload and resource management, career development
  • You have experience of IT Service Operation (particularly Event, Incident/Problem/Change Management)
