e-FIC - Senior Quantitative Research / Trading role - build environment - London. Strong commitment to hire the best people - budget to make sure compensation packages and structures reflects this too!!
This role requires a gifted quantitative researcher, probably with a PhD (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Operations Research, numerical Computer Scientists, or the like. It’s also important to have some level of applied statistical research background and an interest or curiosity in the financial markets.
This is a remarkable opportunity to join a firm that is now recognised as having one of the strongest Global FX Spot franchise businesses in operation today. Their electronic trading platform is undergoing significant investment to compete at the highest level against other e-trading platforms. The good news is that they have the componentry and investment to make this a reality and they are now looking at how to staff the team appropriately!
This team are well organised with the balance of power between Trading and Research sitting within the Quant Research function, the trading piece is more of a book running operation. Research staff are encouraged to openly discuss and collaborate with one another and are very progressive in their adoption of many advanced Machine Learning techniques. Research code tend to be written in Python, R but the production environment is Java.
This Global e-trading function is run by highly quantitative (and academic) QR staff, which creates a very welcome environment for anyone looking for a creative research role where the balance of power is in favour of the quant research group!
It should appeal if you’re interested in joining a business on an upward trajectory with a blue-print to become a global leader in electronic Spot FX and NDF Trading.
It’s important to note that all quant staff can programme to a decent level too!
Please do get in touch if you would be interested in hearing more about this build out.
Look forward to hearing from you all!
