We are looking for experienced Management Consultants who primarily can excel in the Define and Design phases of Business Transformation Programmes within the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) sector. You will support our clients to define and design business and technology strategies, operating models and solutions to drive business transformation and innovation. You may also be required to support the implementation of such programmes.

We require consultants with proven experience consulting within BFS across all domains and specifically the Wealth and Asset Management businesses  Client engagement will be at varying levels of the business up to CXO.  We are seeking candidates with both existing consultancy skills and/or strong industry experience; you should be familiar with all aspects of the change lifecycle, and confident in your ability to perform in complex situations working on your own initiative. 

Key Responsibilities

We are particularly looking for proven experience providing leadership and direction within a change environment particularly  following areas:

Subject Matter Industry Expertise – 

o Strong business analysis skills and track record gained in the Wealth Management, Asset Management or Banking sector

o Relevant delivery experience from the banking and financial services industry with a management consultancy, systems integrator or internal delivery team

o Strong understanding of key threats, issues and opportunities facing the UK Banking and Financial Services industry including: innovation, regulation and competitive environment

o Ability to contribute to Cognizant’s Thought Leadership initiatives and support our growing industry insight

Business Development –

o Assist in the development and presentation of client proposals collaborating across CBC and the wider Cognizant business

o Assist   in the development of collateral to support BFS ‘go to market’ propositions and service offerings 

o Developing BFS accounts, working with account teams to support opportunity identification, qualification and sales

o Develop cross practice understanding of service offerings to ensure effective cross selling.

Practice Development

o Manage personal utilisation and project team results, from pipeline to delivery and quality assurance

o Contribute to the development of practice members skills to ensure a consistency of service delivery and expertise. Active coaching of junior members of the team

o Develop, implement and continually refine the coherent approach and appropriate frameworks to support business transformation proposals, that includes presentations, specimen RFI / RFP content, methodologies, toolkits and deliverables

o Contribute to the development of a knowledge management led approach ensuring the development collateral from engagements

o Support recruitment activities by taking part in candidate screening and interview sessions.

Essential Experience Required:

Financial Services - Credible knowledge from at least one of the following areas:

o Financial Services Regulatory and Risk (e.g. GDPR , MiFID2, PSD2)

o Detailed understanding of Asset Management organisations

o Detailed understanding of Asset Management processes and solutions

o Specific SME knowledge of at least one function of an Asset Management firm i.e. Portfolio Management, Asset Allocation, Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency or Portfolio Reporting

o Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering change in a financial services environment

o Digital Customer Propositions in Financial Services

o Core Banking Platforms (e.g. Avaloq)

Previous involvement in Digital projects or programmes would be highly advantageous.

Strong focus on quality to ensure successful engagements through timely and accurate production of agreed deliverables with a strong stakeholder management focus. You will be familiar with seeking and developing business opportunities throughout client assignments by building your own personal network.
