Vendor Manager for a prestigeous Wealth Manager. You will be responsible for owning the relationships of 3rd party IT systems and service Suppliers. You will be tasked to manage internal stakeholders and work with suppliers to deliver the best service possible.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Building and managing relationships with those who supply Technology products, services and associated business offerings to the firm.
  • Working closely with the Procurement unit in Finance, making sure that appropriate supplier governance structures are in place that conform to the Group's Procurement Policy, frameworks and approach towards vendor management.
  • Providing specified data and oversight information to confirm that prescribed approaches are being adhered to and followed.
  • Monitoring the achievement of value intended from in-scope vendors, ensuring that they are delivering the full range of services in line with agreed contracts.
  • Monitoring vendor staffing plans and implementation to ensure the level and experience of resources matches contractual requirements.
  • Establishing standards and guidelines for vendors, monitoring performance and services via service level agreements ("SLA"s) and analysing data to ensure that standards are met and policies followed.
  • Analysing and maintaining performance-related dashboards as well as service performance analytical methods and practices.
  • Performing quality assurance reviews of managed service programmes.
  • Overseeing resolution efforts when issues or contractual disputes arise.
  • Overseeing root cause analysis and corrective action plans for variances in operational performance.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of local and national business and economic issues, and regulations that may impact on the provision of a service by a vendor.
  • Auditing of vendors, including periodic travel to vendor sites either locally or internationally.
  • Leading the process to adjust details of the service level inventory throughout the contractual term; this includes leading the proposals to add/change/delete measures, as well as altering attributes of existing service level measures.
  • Facilitating the process to understand and then approve or reject vendors' requests to deviate from SLA expectations.

Experience required:

  • Experience of managing Vendors specifically in the Wealth management, Asset Management or private banking sectors.
  • Expertise in providing advice to key stakeholders and colleagues, thereby promoting best practice.
  • Proven ability of supporting businesses areas and individuals through times of transformational change.
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of the IT functional area that is being provided by a vendor.
  • Experience of performance management methods, calculations and perceived best practice.
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise and execute tasks under time pressure.
  • Previous experience of strategic vendor management beneficial.
