UK Marketing Lead – Wholesale and Direct

The Role

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the marketing strategy for M&G's UK Wholesale and Direct channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a measurable marketing strategy across the Wholesale and Direct clients.
  • Develop customer and client segmentation and develop customer journeys for each segment against the M&G marketing client journey framework.
  • Plan, manage and deliver fully integrated marketing campaigns, using offline and online media and in line with the strategic objectives of the business.
  • Embed digital best practice in the UK Marketing team's delivery using M&G's chosen marketing automation, CRM and email tools.
  • Drive M&G's brand forward in the UK, supporting client acquisition, retention and engagement.
  • Build a strong partnership with the sales team to establish joint priorities and gain alignment on strategic plans.
  • Establish and execute marketing packages with strategic partners.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to direct reports and support and encourage their development.
  • Ensure that all marketing activities comply with the regulatory, Conduct Risk (Customer at Heart) and Treating Customers Fairly requirements of FCA.
  • Manage and build strong relationships with internal departments, key clients and external agencies on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversee and review all processes and procedures to ensure quality output of all materials, campaigns, programmes and quality brand representation across all elements of the marketing mix.
  • Responsible for budget planning, allocation and day-to-day management for all channel activities.
  • Lead on the measurement of marketing activity across the region.
  • Where appropriate, implement agile working methods within the team.

You will have:
  • Strong Industry (Asset Management) and Marketing experience.
  • Sound regulatory knowledge and experience of compliance process.
  • Experience in managing lead generation and/or marketing automation programmes within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of markets, customers, investment products and the investment industry in general.
  • Experience of managing a marketing channel team in Intermediary and Direct space.
  • Experience of working with multiple departments to develop customer/marketing literature and regulatory communications.
  • Proven experience of managing budget.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ideally educated to degree level with appropriate marketing qualifications either post-graduate or professional training.
