We are looking to hire an:

 

UK ECM & Corporate Broking Associate/Senior Associate – Metals & Mining, London

 

After continued success in the UK markets, our ECM team is looking to hire additional resource to help with its significant growth plans in the coming years.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing comprehensive equity financing strategies for prospective clients
  • Undertaking valuation exercises including trading comps, precedent transactions and discounted cash flow models
  • Preparing presentation materials for private equity and company boards and participating in company pitches
  • Undertaking detailed sector and company research on an ad-hoc basis
  • Collating and administering regulatory documents on transactions
  • Liaising with the Research and Sales teams on ECM roadshows and/or transactions
  • Attending meetings and calls with mandated and potential clients in support of senior corporate financiers
  • Liaising with co-advisers on projects, such as lawyers, accountants and financial PR
  • Assisting with on-going corporate broking advice to corporate clients on AIM and the Main Market, with the opportunity to advise overseas listed companies

Your profile:

  • Strong academic results; educated to degree level with a minimum  2.1
  • At least three years experience at an investment bank/ boutique advisory firm/ broking firm, with experience serving clients in the resources sector
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving ability
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Be proactive, positive, self motivated and goal oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to a high quality of work
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Keen interest in corporate finance and the equities market
