A global asset manager is hiring a new role into their marketing team to support their growth across EMEA. The UK Country Marketing Manager will be responsible for building and executing country specific Marketing plans that will support the Institutional and Financial Intermediaries channels.

Main responsibilities:

  • Clearly articulate the need for and organise the execution of agreed local Marketing tactics that have been identified to support the business plan. These include but are not limited to:  Local events, Local PR, Local Marketing collateral
  • Design, build and implement local in country campaigns. Work with Wholesale & Institutional UK Sales and Marketing stakeholders to gain agreement and input into local campaigns
  • Work with Marketing Communications to ensure that all deliverables for local campaigns are produced on time and to the highest possible quality
  • Coordinate and monitor the tracking of predefined and agreed local program metrics. The individual will use this data to create insights and recommendations for other Marketing teams and local sales stakeholders
  • Partner with senior business leaders in their local market to prioritise, tailor and implement Global / European campaigns in their markets.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure that all deliverables are tailored to the agreed needs of the local market and delivered on time and to the highest possible quality
  • Collaborate with other country and European Marketing teams to influence strategic plans for the marketing channels (web, email, events) and functions (brand, design, writing / content)
  • Participate in business planning and strategy discussion
  • Provide “local” input / feedback on the development of audience and product focused content
  • Understand the local customer / client journey to select, sell / distribute and purchase / invest in the business’ products and services

Experience required:

  • 8 years plus marketing experience from the asset management industry
  • Good experience of the UK market
  • Experience of both institutional and wholesale channels
  • Strong skills ideally across the full marketing mix including:
    • Strategic marketing - ability to develop country marketing plan and campaigns
    • Digital marketing – social media, email, website development and maintenance
    • Content creation / thought leadership
    • PR – experience of working with PR agencies and/or local media
    • Events – experience selecting, budgeting for and project managing events
    • Advertising – online & offline
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High level knowledge of Marketing processes and tools
  • The ability to coordinate and project management delivery of key initiatives
  • The ability to interface with internal and external sales channels, understand their feedback and develop tools and content to address their needs 
  • Skilled at interpersonal communications and building strong working relationships
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise effectively
